Recently I started working with photography and video, in order to enrich my paintings and expand my practice. Last year I worked with pop art movement representing different aspects and habits of our society, contrasting them with famous icons from our past. This year I am interested in exploring the identity and unknown subjects, through a more abstract practice. In a world full of human beings and places, sometimes it is hard to find our home and our selves. My experience of leaving my own home and coming to a big city as London made me realize how small we are towards the environment that we created through the years. For that reason, it is easy to feel confused and alone creating loss of identity and gain of loneliness. The blurred and moved images help me representing the dynamism of the city life as a concept that sometimes consumes our soul and makes each human being more and more irrelevant. My intention is to represent through my paintings and photos both pursuit of identity, visible in my distorted faces, and city dynamism.
My content as always been mainly social and also cultural, that might be derivative from my interest in observing the human behaviors around me, and my curiosity in human psyche.
I do not address my practice to a specific audience, however I hope that I manage to demonstrate my ideas through my work and share it with the ones that occasionally feel lost, small and unidentified.
