Kai Samuels-Davis is a New York born artist living and working in Inverness, CA. The artist did not directly pursue film, however cinematic themes arise in his paintings: they have a sense of being fragments of a larger framework of thoughts. His work is mainly focused on portraits and figures with an abstract vision that distances not only the artist and the subject but also the subject and the public.
